Exciting New Things!

The last few weeks have brought a few new and exciting things for Colton. Along with enjoying rice cereal or oatmeal for breakfast and dinner, Colt has started eating fruit. His favorite by far are the peaches! Soon he'll be trying out veggies for the first time...hopefully that goes as smoothly as all the other food introductions have gone! We are eagerly waiting for Colton to start crawling, he's getting there, but his current mode of transportation is rolling. He literally roles everywhere! And although he can't quite pull himself up to the sitting position yet, if put there he can sit for quite a while. As you can see from the pictures below, he's very proud of himself!

6 Months Old

Happy half birthday Colton! It's hard to believe, but we're at the half-way point of Colt's first year already! At his check up this month he weighed 17 pounds, 4 ounces and was 26 inches long...a huge growth spurt in height from last month. Colt is developing quite the personality and we love seeing what new things he's learning every day. Right now we love watching him play with his toys, roll all over the place and listen to him discover his voice. Colton has been enjoying the spring sunshine and being in the yard and can't wait to try out the pool Nana and Poppa bought for him! 

Look at Me!

Our latest discovery...Colton loves being naked! Colt is a happy baby all the time, but when he is diaper-free he takes it to a whole new level. Enjoy the photos below...hopefully we don't have a nudist on our hands!

5 Months Old

A lot has happened the last month in Colt's little life. He's loving eating rice cereal every night before bed, is constantly rolling over and has recently started trying to sit up on his own...although he's still a little ways out from being able to do it all on his own! He now weighs 15 pounds, 2 ounces and is 23 1/2 inches long. Colton's been loving the little bit of sunshine we've had so far and is definitely looking forward to playing in the sun this summer!

Water Boy

After we gave Colton his first bath we were both a little worried that he would be scarred for life, boy were we wrong! Now, we've come to love this nightly bedtime ritual. Colt because he gets to splash around and us because it's so funny to see how excited he gets! We can't wait to try him out in some real water this summer...his little life jacket is ready and waiting! Other than kicking his legs constantly, Colt's other new thing is sticking his tongue out...like you couldn't tell from the pictures! This must be something he picked up from his friends at school!

Happy Easter everyone! Colton had a very busy Easter weekend visiting with all his family, but loved seeing everyone and was spoiled by the Easter bunny more than once! Although he didn't get to hunt for Easter eggs this year, he learned the ropes from his cousins Collin and Keegan and can't wait for next year!

Mmmm...Rice Cereal

What a good little eater we have! The other night Colton tried rice cereal for the first time...his first experience with anything other than formula. We weren't sure how he would do with it, but as you can see by the pictures, he absolutely loved it! He looks forward to this yummy treat now every night before his bedtime bottle!
