Working in the Yard

Last weekend, Colton joined us outside to help get the yard ready for Fall and the upcoming Winter. At first he spent most of his time searching for frogs and playing with worms, but then he decided to help out his Dad by sweeping up some of the leaves and branches trimmed from the bushes...that lasted all of about 10 minutes before he decided it was time for lunch!

1st Field Trip

Last Friday, Colton got to go on his first preschool field trip to the pumpkin patch! We went to Thomasson Family Farm in Enumclaw and Colt's best friend from school, Lily, was our buddy for the day. The two of them are so cute and have so much fun playing together. The day started off with a lot of excitement because we got to go on a school bus to the farm, something Colton loves to do! When we arrived, first we got to check out the animals, then played in some hay, picked out a pumpkin, went on a hay ride and if all that wasn't enough, just before lunch the kiddos got to play in the corn box! The corn box is exactly what it sounds like...an area surrounded by hay and filled knee deep with corn! Colt and Lily loved swimming and jumping in the corn...who knew corn could be so much fun!

Fun in the Pumpkins

We went out for our annual trip to the pumpkin patch, but this time we went with our friends the McClain's and their daughter Samantha. We all had such a great time watching Colton run around in pumpkins, pull the wagon and pick out his favorites. Even Samantha seemed to think Colt was hilarious! The two kiddos were so much fun and they were definitely the cutest little pumpkins in the patch!
